Local agents in every town we serve.

We’re an independent agency with six offices across Kansas. We compare about 18 insurance companies for you, and when something happens, you call someone in your own town.

Most asked about here: low-lying ground

Homes near the river and the wetlands can flood even outside mapped flood zones, and standard home policies don’t cover flood. Flood coverage usually takes 30 days to start.

We work for you, not for one insurance company.

A captive agent can only sell one company’s policies. As an independent agency we shop yours with about 18 companies, and we stay your agent if a better option comes along later.

A Kansas year, the way our agents see it

What we check with clients, and when. Your local office will reach out before each season.

  1. March to June

    Hail and tornado season

Check roof age, wind and hail deductibles and comprehensive auto coverage before storms start.

  2. June and July

    Wheat harvest

Custom harvesting and borrowed equipment raise liability questions. Call before the combines roll.

  3. August to October

    Fair and festival season

Vendors and event hosts need certificates of insurance, and dry fall days raise grass fire risk.

  4. November to February

    Winter roads

Ice on two-lane highways means more collisions. Review roadside help and rental coverage before the first storm.

When something happens, call your office, not an 800 number.

Your agent knows your policy, your property and, usually, your road. We stay on your claim until it’s paid.

How to report a claim
  1. Call your local office

Tell us what happened. If it’s after hours, we’ll give you the insurance company’s 24-hour line and call you first thing.

  2. We report it with you

We file the claim with your insurance company and explain your deductible and coverage in plain words.

  3. We follow it to the end

If an adjuster is slow or a payment looks wrong, your agent calls them, so you don’t have to.

Luis explained everything in Spanish to my parents and in English to me. We finally have the ranch, the house and the trucks all with one agent.

Common questions

What does an independent agency do differently?

We don’t work for one insurance company. We compare quotes from about 18 companies and recommend the one that fits, and we stay your agent if you switch companies later.

Can I work with any of your offices?

Yes. Your policies are on one shared system, so any of our six offices can help with a question, a change or a claim.

What happens when I have a claim?

Call your local office first. We’ll help you report it to the insurance company, explain what’s covered and follow up until it’s settled.

Do you have Spanish-speaking agents?

Yes. Our Dodge City and Garden City offices have Spanish-speaking agents and service staff, and they can help clients from any office.
